Thank You All!

We appreciate the cooperation and assistance that was given to help make the Floyd County Wildlife Association Archery Tournament a success!

The scores are now complete with paybacks verified (web site is posted). Our Money Classes are based on a 60% payback with a minimum of three (3) participants. You may pick up your award at the FCWA Store next time you are near.

We tried to have a different set-up with one of the IBO Ranges but discovered that we were to close to the Rifle Range. However we will leave the range set-up following the tournament for follow-up fun shoots – FCWA Members ($10) only with guests ($15). Guests (must be accompanied by a FCWA member).

We will be moving the range for our next tournament.

The Results Of The Long Shot Competition:

(Rules were the target was 80 to 100 yards and

at $5 per chance you had 3 arrows to hit the Bulls Eye for 60% of the $$ pot)

We had a good percentage of people try the Long Shot. It was tough and most of us felt good if we just hit the bag target let alone if we could find our arrows if we missed. Later in the day, John Worsham of Pine Ridge Outdoors gave it a try.

His first shot hit the top of the bag target; the next shot hit at the bottom of the bag target; He then turned to me and said "it's 85 yards isn't it?". With that he shot the 3rd arrow and just barely missed the Bulls Eye ( a Red Clay Pigeon in the center of the bag target). (It was actually 85.5 yards according to my range finder John!)

John now bought a second chance for three more shots. Now bear in mind that the wind was gusting but the general conditions were good. John then made one final adjustment to his sight, stood calmly taking careful aim and released the 4th arrow. We all stood watching the arrow sail to the target getting closer and closer then Breaking the Clay Pigeon!  AMAZING!

We all applauded the skill and excellent exhibition on how to shoot at the Long Distance Shot. He turned to me once again and said "Don't I have two more shots?" With that we put another Clay Pigeon on the target. John taking careful aim and releasing the arrow again broke the 2nd target. Two shots in a row breaking the target!!

What an awesome demonstration!

John, we take our Muzzy Hats Off To You and

Wish You every Success in the remainder of the 3-D Season!

We want you to look forward in joining us again  and there after until the end of the 3-D season in August.

Please let us know how we can be of service to you!
